Hope I'm not going to look silly here but can't see how/where I can edit my own posts?

Thanks

normally a thread or post of yours should have an edit button next to the quote (hang on I'll post then edit)

EDIT: Yip, left of the quote button of your posting...

That's interesting! If you add a post to the announcement of the new version there is no edit button! Maybe the announcement forums has editing of threads disabled?

Yeah I would imagine sub has done that...and would have thought he would make it a closed thread, so you can't even post to it.

It was either deliberate or an oversight I guess. I just wanted to post an update on the upgrade thread and couldn't. The box at the bottom of the screen says:-

You may not post new threads {pardon?}
You may post replies
You may post attachments
You may not edit your posts

Martin

I've just looked at the bottom of this post and they seem to be back on!!

edit:= well done whoever!

Nothing has changed. You've never had the permissions to edit or create posts in the 'Announcements' section. You can elsewhere in the forums. Its been this way pretty much forever.

I'm closing these release announcement threads pretty quickly these days, but wanted to give users a chance (couple of days) to ask questions about installing or features in the list etc. Error reports should be posted in the support section (or I'll delete the posts). I've updated the announcement post to make that a little more clear.
