lcd tv htpc advice

Im thinking of changng my standard 28" widescreen tv to a new lcd tv and building a htpc. I am considering an ati graphics card with hdmi output.
Has anybody got a similar setup that can give any advice about possible pro's and con's of this setup.

i am running my htpc with my 42" lcd. im not using hdmi, only dvi out. there was very little tweaking of the configs to make everything look great. mind you i never had a hd signal to deal with.

all in all, very simple to setup.

You may like to take a look on avforums.com, they seem to the the swats on audio visual stuff incl LCD TVs.
