Hi,

Am gradually getting GB-PVR to work with a WinTV Nova-T-USB2 DBV-T Receiver with thanks to people who have helped via this forum Smile.

I'd like to be able to use the web-scheduling interface and have disabled ZoneAlarm however am getting the following error message whilst trying to log onto http://localhost:7647/.

Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application.
HTTP Error 404 - Not Found.
Version Information: Cassini Web Server 1.0.2486.9815

I've not tried to access this port outside of my LAN however guess that port-forwarding will need to be set-up in my router. Is this right and what IP Address does this port need forwarding on (127.0.0.1 perhaps)?.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you Smile.

Here's the URL that works for me. Notice the additional "/gbpvr/" for some reason the default page is not in the root of the server website

http://gbpvrserverIP:7647/gbpvr/

ex: http://192.168.1.104:7647/gbpvr/

(From another computer on your network)

or

http://127.0.0.1:7647/gbpvr

Hi,

Excellent Smile.

Thank you. That's brilliant. Adding /gbpvr/ onto the end of the URL has worked. Really impressed with the GB-PVR web-interface!.

Am I right in saying that all that needs to be done in order to schedule recordings remotely via the internet is to port forward port 7674 (for the IP address of the PC that GB-PVR is running on)?.

The GB-PVR team really have been hard at work on this one.
Did not expect anything quite so elaborate.

Glad that I've perservered with this project.

Only thing that I'm confused with right now is adding a second DVB-T Tuner. Not sure whether or not a twin-tuner GB-PVR can be made using two DVB-T Tuners of the same type or a different type of DVB-T Tuner needs to be added.

Any ideas?.

Keep up the good work.
Kind Regards.

you can definately add multiple tuners of the same type but in the config you give them different device numbers (capture sources, settings in the confi.exe).

I am planning to add a couple of internal Nova-T's to go with my novat usb2.

Or perhaps a nova0t 500 which is 2 x dvb tuners in one card.

yes, the web interface is awsome, especially now that the streaming has been integrated into it.

Hi gED,

Thank you for your reply. Thank you for confirming that same type tuners can be added as I wasn't sure whether or not this was possible.

I was wanting to ask whether or not a Nova-T 500 with Twin-Tuner DVB-T Tuners was compabible with GB-PVR. You've reminded me to ask!. Do you know if this particular capture card is supported without any need to edit the bda.ini file at all?.

With regards to the web-interface all that I'd thought that I'd be presented with was a program scheduling/amending/deleting interface with perhaps a little EPG information. How wrong I was. Pleasantly surprised for a change though Smile. This is better than the web-interface available on commercially available DVB-T Receiver software IMHO. Really pleased.

Just need to work out why WMP won't play a recorded program. Think that WMP 11 download is needed.

Kind Regards Smile.

The Nova-T 500 works with GB-PVR, but you need to add a section to bda.ini. See: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=19648. This will be included by default in the next release.

I think that this may be because WMP cannot find a compliant mpeg codec. upgrading to WMP11 may not fix this.

download VLC instead - it will play anything and is needed if you want to watch videos via the web interface.

Hi gED,

Thank you for your reply. You're 100% it is a codec problem. WMP11 made no difference whatsoever. Not sure what VLC is but shall do a search on the GB-PVR forum and download asap.

Thank you Smile.

hi gED,

This evening I'm having problems with the web-interface loading correctly. Basically there's just a plain background (no colours) with text. Similar to how I'd guess the pages would look with no CSS (that is if CSS is being used, not gone into any of the source code). Any idea's why this is happening?.

Thank you for your help.
Kind Regards Smile.
