Ok, I used to have digital cable(with the box) but it was to expensive. Is it possbile to get a tv tuner with the remote that comes with it and download gbpvr and be able to change the tv to channel 3 or 4 and use the tuner remote to control the pvr and watch tv like having digital cable? If that is possible then I could use the digital guide, which would be nice. Thnanks.

Oz has put together a nice guide for using the Harmony remote. However, that's not necessary if all you want is the tuner to be able to control your cable box. Many of us do that with the remote included with the tuner cards remote. This won't let you control the cable box's on-screen guide, but GB-PVR will download a (much better) on-screen guide that you can use to choose your channel.

Accessing On Demand or other extended content only accessible from the cable box's on-screen guide with a single remote requires a more complex remote and setup like Oz mentions, but you can always pick up the cable box's remote if necessary.
