Good job SUB and Merry Christmas to you all on GBPVR!

How do I get Cyberlink link remote to work in GBPVR? I have searched on this site and couldn't find any good instruction to how to do this and on internet was not much more luck...

This remote came with my Powercolor theater 550 pro (PCI express x1) and I use windows xp 64 bit edition.

I have tried different setting in both Config and for the capture source (remote) and find any way to get this to work. Is there a driver I need to install for winXP64 or isn't it working with OS? I can not install PowerCinema in any way, so I can not check if this remote really are working.

Thankful for all help I can get.

Normally in GB-PVR you'd just need to set the remote type to 'MCE Remote' in the config app, but this assumes you have a working remote, with whatever drivers are normally required.

I'm not sure whether xp64 with take care of the drivers side or not though...

It doesn't look like it is as I can not install only driver from powercinema...or I have to use some other built in driver like Zigmatel* (USB-IR) to support my dongle and remote.

To be honest I dont know. I dont use the x64 verison of XP here.

I'm fairly sure the 32bit edition of XP didnt require any driver for this., and I would have hoped x64 would be the same. You'll tell if that is the case because the up/down keys would work in the GB-PVR main menu.

There must be some kind of driver even on 32 bit windows to run a remote as I don't think it will run without any software between hardware and application (GBPVR) by default. What back ground process are related to remote in that case that it run in windows 32 bit (I mean in windows task manager - processes)?

Yes, I'd imagine there is a driver somewhere. What I was suggesting though, was I thought there was some special category of USB device HID for keyboards/remotes/mice etc that was built into Windows.
