ZapTools has now been updated. You can download it here or from the wiki.

The wiki contains instructions for using ZapTools. The Enhanced Web Admin (EWA) for GBPVR will take advantage of the extended data offered in ZapTools for those users that use Zap2It for their EPG Source.

ZapTools will provide the the following extended data via EWA for Zap2It users:
  • Original Air Date for Programs
  • Origianl Release Date for Movies
  • Star Rating
  • Repeat Indicator
  • Cast Information - All Linked to IMDB:
    • Actors
    • Directors
    • Executive Producers
    • Producers
    • Writers
    • Guest Stars
    • Hosts
Changes:

ZapInterface Version 5.11 - 10/20/2006
  • No changes.
ZapmImport Version 5.10 - 12/30/2006
  • Updated to use the newest version of ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll.
  • Corrected issue with invalid time format being passed to Zap2It Labs resulting in only one days worth of data being downloaded.
  • Added new parameter in config file to specify how many days of EPG data should be downloaded (default is 1).
  • Made the default connection string for the GBPVR database to be for the SQLite connection.
  • Now writes out all XML nodes returned from Zap2It labs.
    • zapdata.node1.xml contains the Response Type
    • zapdata.node2.xml contains any messages returned from Zap2It Labs.

Would you consider adding a version number to the download file name? I keep a small archive of older versions for everthing I install, and would like to be clear on while file has the latest version. Thanks!

Normally I would but with two items in ZapTools (ZapImport and ZapInterface) there is not really a single release number. For instance....only ZapImport changed in this release so ZapInterface is the same build number as the previous release.

Perhaps I could add a date to the file name.....but it would be just as easy for you to do when you download the file....just change the name you are saving to include a date. Wink

I had been trying to number them myself, but ran into the same conflict due to the version number of each part. I could go to a date system. Smile

It is helpful though if you could do it on your end. When I go and see this thread (or the duplicate under "community announcements") again in a few days, I am likely to get excited and attempt to download it not being sure if I already have the most current.
