Local tuner and Centralized recording.

I have 7 tuners, 3 in client pc's and 4 in the server, and I don't need to stream LiveTv but if I want centralized recording I need to use the client mode. It would be ideal for me to be able to use the local tuner but have centralized recording/scheduling.

I know this logiscally complex given how GB is built.

I second this request. For HDTV, I like being able to watch from the local client, but I would like the capability of any recordings to become centralized and available to all clients. From a logistics standpoint it would a little bit like the Media Portal new architecture with a TV server (similar to the GBPVR Recording service) and having a master / slave relationship with multiple recording units. That would be ideal and the next big step for GBPVR. At a minimum, it would be nice be able to watch local, and view central recordings. Also maybe a schedule facility to export local recording, copy to a central server, import the recordings so that they could be centralized after post processing or optionally to have post processing running at the server. Just an idea or two...
