Hi Sub;
As most likely have, I have a lot of scheduled, reoccurring programs.
The "do not record duplicates" works great for me with Zap2It. Thanks!
However, if I delete an individual recording whose show is on the schedule still, next time it comes up, I'll get it again. So to keep dupes from happening you have to keep the original show on the HD "forever". I would have thought 1.5 terabytes would be enough...
It would be fun if there were an option to add a given recording's ID to a "seen it, ignore it" list so that I could free up HD space and still avoid dupes, without having to have the dupe actually present on the HD.
I think this would only work if it also kept the description etc. in the dbase as well, so you could edit it conveniently later.
I know you want to keep the interface tidy but there might be room for a "disregard episode" button when viewing a show description, and then an "Edit Disregard List" (sorry, the thesaurus didn't help here) button from "Recordings".
