Disable recording

I searched the forums and found one post that said there is no way to disable automatic recording, like when you're just watching tv and it records. I think that it is kinda ridiculous that there is no option to disable this. I mainly use GBPVR to just watch TV and I like the way everything is setup and easy to navigate but I have no need to record anything I watch. Instead I have delete the files GBPVR creates every couple days. Just seems wierd to me that this would not be an option.

It is designed to work this way, and it isn't going to change in the future. It needs this for compatibility with PVR350/XCard/MVP devices.

Why would you need to delete a file that only gets up to 1GB? Small hdd? Doesn't seem to make much sense to me. The whole point OF a PVR/DVR is the buffering, without this it's not a PVR! So what would you rather it be called, just GB? That's pretty boring
