That's my blog, I'm glad I came across GBPVR and the HW Compatibility Charts.
I'm really excited to tinker with this new toy, and look forward to writing some plugins. I write code in C, C++, x86 Assembly, so it should be fun.

I am always happy to see new users here also, even though I am fairly new also and wasn't sure if I would stick with GBPVR. I did and I am glad I did.

I spent 2 hours Saturday moving HW from my old case into the new case, and about 5 hours on Sunday finishing HW installation and installation and customization of GBPVR. I'm kind of scared because 95% of everything JUST WORKED. I haven't fully exercised the timers, etc. but so far I'm speechless.

I already have ideas for plugins, and being a software engineer will dive into writing some. It's nice to have Windows programming knowledge, because some of the tools leave something to be desired.

Wakalaka, I have been super busy and hadn't needed the option I was thinking of. Thanks for responding and sorry for the delay. I was hoping for a plugin that allowed us to run VideoRedo to cut commercials based on the output file from comskip after doing a visual verification that commercials have been correctly detected based on the status bar in GBPVR. Maybe even with a record to DVD option after the commercial cut.

COmskip can be remote controlled, there is a plugin that can activate comskip in review mode so you can review the detection and make updates if needed.
Then you can write out the changed commercial list.
I don't know the name of the plugin.

Erik, timeline has to be working correctly in your recording if you record 1:00 and you see 0:03 but it did record the full hour then Comskip won't work correctly. That's what I had found out. I am not saying it happens all the time it just happens. Otherwise if you have one or two working PVR cards you should be okay with Comskip. Videoredo isn't magic either.

If you are having issues with the timeline then commercial skip doesn't work right is true, but the real issue is why are you having trouble with your timeline.
