Sub, is there a way to get the srt text into the bottom left of the screen. The reason for this is I am acquiring the the srt text from the CC of the PVR-350 and it starts in the middle then juts out to the sides, partly due to the way the CC was made, roll-up. The reason I know this will fix it is because DirectVobSub/VSfilter has that option and it fixes that problem, but DirectVobSub won't play back on the MVP. If there is another option let me know also.
Included is a 30 minute srt file within the attachment.

Thanks

Do you ever get it synced ? mine are way off... and variable in timing to.
Hmmm roll up sub titles ... I think I would go nuts trying to read those

I haven't even tried to sync it because of the roll-up problem which does drive me nuts. Since CC isn't always dead on for the timing I won't mind it being a second or two behind. The CC shows up fine on the PC when using the Intervideo codec, but the MVP won't play it.

By the way, the roll-up is worse than what is at http://www.robson.org/capfaq/look.html#AvailableStyles because when converted to srt it starts in the middle then moves left as the the sentence gets longer.

You can adjust the default subtitle positioning in "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Blue\OSD\skin.xml"

Is that under "+ <CompositeImage name="SubtitlesOnly" size="720,480">" If so I changed align to "Left" on all 3 subtitleStyle but there is no change. I take it I need to change a loc, but which one and to what?

I changed DrawRoundedRect visible="@subtitle1Visible" loc="0,380" and now the text is on the left.

After restarting gbpvr the subs were acting as they originally were. So I changed all 3 subtitles to loc=100,380 and align=Left. They are in the middle now without the text expanding to the left and the right.

Yes, as far what I originally wanted to fix.
It would be nice to be able to turn the srt viewer on and off in the settings tab off the main menu. Srt created from roll-up closed captions are really bad. When the CC is pop-on then it is like subtitles on a DVD, which is nice.
What would be even better is to be able to see CC on the MVP.

edit April 27, 2007: I have since learned that Yellow or Ctrl+Y toggles SRT per another CC thread.

I have CC in the MVP playback already using GB-PVR v0.99.5 and the latest drivers for my 150. Assuming you have srt files created:

In the Misc panel of the configuration, check 'Enable SRT viewer'.

There is a configuration in config.xml
<SubtitleDelayMVP> which you can use to tweak when the subtitles start
with your MVP.

-1000 works fine for me. (delay by 1000 ms).

Hope this helps...
