Perhaps rather than current (PC time) when bringing up the info on the OSD during a recording playback, have it show the time it was (date too possibly) when the recording was made. Or maybe even both current time and show time.
Should technically be an easy one to do (?) since GBPVR knows the timeslot the show was recorded between and then the progress bar during playback simply added to the start time of the recording would be the current recorded time.
