okay, a very small request... It would be nice if the GBpvr icon was used as favicon.ico for the webserver so the icon appears in the favorit listing in explore [Image: smile.gif]

I noticed my password manager and browser favorite had a broken icon for NextPVR forums. I manually added the black circle with the white 'n' from the NextPVR Windows client. Very few websites have no favicon these days.

With one person requesting this every 20 years, the favicon should be of highest priority. Wink

Done. Might take a while for your cache to refresh this icon. I can see it here though.

Works and looks great for bookmarking the main site and the forums. Thanks!

Does that mean bookmarking the built-in web server http://localhost:8866/index.html will also get the icon when the next release is installed in the future on our HTPC's?

That should already. It has a favicon, and I certainly see it in the browser here.

I don't know about the bookmark but you should see it already in the tab, so we know it is being sent.

If I add a favorite in bing it gets the icon. If I add a bookmark in firefox it gets the default missing icon globe. My password manager also fails to get the favicon from the NextPVR login screen on my HTPC.

The strange thing is firefox does show the icon in the tab title to left of "NextPVR Login". Tried firefox private mode, firefox troubleshooting mode, localhost on the HTPC, hostname & hardcoded IP address from the LAN, Win10, Win11, Linux.

Anyone else failing to get the NextPVR icon in firefox when bookmarking http://localhost:8866/index.html  or http://yourHTPC_IP:8866/index.html from another PC on the LAN. Wondering if my HTPC setup has a problem.

Didn't see Martin's message as I posted.

I googled it and an unrelated project had this exact issue with their web UI in firefox and solved it by removing the leading slash.

Just a guess. Does anyone know how to check what the browser is receiving from NextPVR for the favicon path?

NextPVR isn't using a html <link> tag to specify the icon. It's just relying on having a file called favicon.ico in the directory. ie, so we're not specifying any slashes etc
