If you're happy with only one recording or live tv at the same time, then you can create two capture sources for the same card, both set as device #1, and GB-PVR will take of making sure only one at a time is used etc.
It's not too complicated, basically, you'll need to run either composite or Svideo from your STB to your capture card. Then setup the other capture source (but heed Subs comment, you can only watch EITHER capture source at a time, not both at the same time)
You'll also need a separate EPG listing associated with each capture source - and make sure they don't have duplicate channels or else it will only take one of them.

The idea is that using channels under 100 would would force GBPVR to use capture source for the analog channels, and over 100 it would use Digital channels from the STB.
