A recorded tv show displays its timeline as much less on viewing. This is an infrequent problem. Searching this forum suggests its a hardware issue and the solution is to buy a new box.
The Haupauge software included with the PVR150 capture card works fine and this issue doesn't happen.
Seems like if Hauppauge can get it right why can't GBPVR?

Its a common problem in the PVR150 drivers that Hauppauge are aware of, and have provided a fix for: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=14006. It doesnt require new hardware.

The forum search did pull up that info but the link to download is dead. Google has not helped yet either to find 060223-Amity2-2.0.43.24054.PreRelease.zip

Reading about new owners and Joomla is good news if it helps sort these basic issues with GBPVR. Even tired old hackers should not be dumbfounded like I am.

Ah, sorry - during the recent change to the website I forgot to move the 'drivers' directory over to the new website directory. I've done this now, so the URL should be working again.

I use the 24108 drivers without any issues once I applied the registry fix.

They are newer than the 24054 drivers.

The link now works but after installing its broken funtionality.

Error is - Unable to locate hcwsnbd9.dll

GBPVR seems to work fine but we can no longer rip vhs vcr tapes using Win2000 WinTV2K.exe. Does GBPVR provide this functionality?

Sorry, I couldnt tell you the answer to that one. You'd have to ask Hauppauge. Most people have managed to install the drivers fine.

Any newer drivers (from hauppauge website) + registry settings from that thread should also correct the problem.

WinTV2K is better suited to this type of task. If the drivers had installed correctly then you should still be able to do this.

Hauppauge required the WinTV2K app to be re-installed, as well as the IR Remote, and it is now working as designed. GBPVR still has the intermittant timestamp issue problem however. Posted workarounds fail to fix files.

You mentioned GBPVR is poorly suited to this task. Is it poor or non-existent? I'd take a poor app over none.

How do you determine the drivers version? I'd like to know if I have the 24108 or 24054 or some beta version to more systematically find the hack to fix this timestamp issue.

The easiest way to check driver versions is control panel->system->hardware->device manager

find the device and click properties.

This driver works fine, apps included. This is what I am using now.

He also provides instructions to install that insure no old installations conflict.

Or you can get the latest from the hauppauge site directly.

Are you looking to fix your existing recordings?

How often do the "broken" recordings occur?
