I am having problems using EWA to stream videos.

On the machine that is my GBPVR server using VLC through the EWA console to watch a prerecorded video I am getting a black screen with only sound.

I can use the EWA from another computer on my local LAN to watch the videos and it works with sound and video.

Any ideas?

What are you using on the client to view the stream? VLC or Windows Media?

I am using C on the client.

I downloaded VLC for both PC's today from the same place. (Link in the GBPVR EWA Wiki page)

EDIT:
I should note that I use Vista on the serving PC and XP SP2 on the client PC.
Could it possibly be a codec problem? I can definitly play MPEG-2 files on the server machine.

Do I need an MPEG-4 codec? I don't think I have one on the problem machine.

Can you open the file you are trying to stream with VLC nativley (on the GBPVR PC)....no streaming....just do a file open or double click on the file and have VLC open it?
