Various Wish Items

Ok so let me start out by stating I'm an old shool Tivo user. I've opted for GB-PVR for as my backup recorder but who knows someday it may replace it Here are some items I would love to see added / changed. I've been reading the forums and don't recall seeing these items, but I'm sorry if they are duplicates.

- Within the Search Guide - Allow more letters of a show to be selected or use Channel Up / Down to scroll a page at a time. I wanted to record Survivor and had to hit down 100 times just to find it in there. (I never know what channel or times things are on.. )

- Within The Search Guide - If you select to record a show that is already going to be recorded by a previous Season Recording show that at the bottom, instead of allowing you to try and record it.

- Live TV - Enable the record button on the remote so it records the show you are currently watching from that point forward.

- Live TV - Add button on the remote to allow you to jump to LiveTV no matter where you are.

- Live TV - While in MiniGuide allow user to look ahead in time.

- TV Guide - Enable Channel Up / Channel Down as Page Up and Page Down.

- ALL Screens - Allow Up arrow to go to the last selection. Some screens act tihs way, other don't.

The skip and replay buttons already do page up/down in the search guide.

Channel Up/Down buttons cant be used for page up/page down because these buttons are already in use. On the hauppauge remote, these buttons are the navigation buttons up/down.

That would be a really nice little addition, maybe even allow the recording of a program to be set from that ?

My ultimate wish would be to have the live TV scalled to maybe 1/4 of the screen and use the rest of the screen for the guide. Which would include all other features of the regular guide as well. If this is not possible, I would opt to having the same skin settings for the OSD as the regular guide. That way I could select how many channels would be disaplayed a single time and such. For me personnaly, I would use the entire screen as the guide but I would still be able to surf the guide and hear live TV. That way I could surf during a commercial, and know when the commercials are over.

Instead of starting another thread all just add to this one.... Here is another nice "Tivo" function I've come to love...

- When you are done watching a recording ask if you would like to delete it. Just makes cleanup simpler.

if that was implemented make it so that you can turn that feature off (i usually only record things i like to watch a few times )

it would be cool (im pretty sure sub said he couldnt do a small display of live tv) if you pressed the enter key oh when watching live tv it would bring up a guide that filled about 40% of the screen on the bottom, the shows discription on the top left corner, and live tv on the top right (make it so if you press enter on a currently playing show it just shows that in the small window, if pressed twice goto fullscreen).

im sure sub said he couldnt do this somewhere just a cool feature i saw somewhere (htpc i think)

sub could you make a post somewhere or news page, showing what you are planning on implementing in future releases, what you are considering and what, if any, are either not going to be implemented or not for a long time(by you at least) eg video editor, widescreen etc.

just so if we so if we add something to wish list and you already know about it or done it.
