Net Radio is really slick, I wonder if there's a way to add new radio stations or perhaps delete ones that crash or go down (pirate radio was down the other day, for example)...

Anyway my thought is what if there were some sort of screen saver or visualizations for net radio, after so many minutes? H*ll even a screen blank would be fine. My TV sitting at practically the same screen for such a long period of time (because net radio is cool!Wink probably isn't really good for it. What does everyone else think?

As to the first part, just go to the 'net radio' subdir under gbpvr and you will see all the stations. Delete whichever ones you like. To add new ones, go to Shoutcast and download whatever .pls files you want to the 'net radio' subdir and you are good to go (after you restart gbpvr that is).

As to the visualization, I just turn the monitor or TV off if I am going to be listening to net radio or MP3's. No video = no need to look at it [Image: smile.gif]

Very cool. Didn't know it was run under shoutcast. The radio stations around here are usually RM (like WBER, for example).

As far as turning off the TV, well that'd be fine except this machine is going to be run into the TV for both audio and video, so I don't think turning it off would work too well [Image: smile.gif]

I can look to add some sort of screen saver functionality. Visualisation might be taking it too far, as the MVP/XCARD/PVR350 have relatively low frame rates for OSD, so moving things are going to look crap. I did think about playing a video as the screen saver, but then that would stop the audio...

Yeah, it was just a thought. I haven't even tried the music part yet, I assume there's no SS for that either. And it could be as simple as the cheesy SS's that DVD players use, like my apex just bounces the word "Apex" around the screen and it changes colors at side of the screen. Cheese, but it does it's job [Image: smile.gif]

PS. Sub I just want to say thanks for not being an a-hole. I was using MythTV for awhile till I learned what a bunch of a-holes the devs are. In fact they even accused you of stealing MythTV outright ("it looks just like Myth! he must have stolen the source code! etc. etc. and more BS&quotWink ... in any event it's cool to see a dev that takes suggestions in stride and doesn't say things like (and I quote, and no I'm not kidding) "Why should I give a f___ about a piece of hardware I don't even own?"
