Build 59 of EWA has been released. You can download it here or on the wiki.

This upgrade requires GBPVR 99.12 or higher to work.

ZapTools Users if you have not yet upgraded to latest Version of ZapTools you will need to do so to use any version of EWA higher than build 54.
You can download from wiki....read the upgrade instructions.

Date: 2007-03-31 Build Number: 59 Changes:
  • FirstTeamOPS: Correct typo in Player page that prevented FF from working correctly.
  • FirstTeamOPS: Corrected Tooltip typo for stop button on Player page.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Correct issue with search results exceeding Array limit.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Reminder notification can now be set in Days/Hours/Minutes from show start time rather than just minutes.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added Enclosures to RSS feeds for completed programme recordings.
    • Enclosures require media files to be hosted as a file from file system.
    • Read EWA wiki RSS info on options for configuring and using.

  • UncleJohnsBand: Corrected a couple of issues with Search that were introduced in Build 58.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Corrected issue with Reminders displaying when they should not display.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added Saved Search Auto-Search functionality.
    • Can now flag saved searches to be included in Auto-Search on Search page.
    • Saved searches flagged for Auto-Search will execute one time per day following the first login that occurs at least one hour after your daily EPG update.
    • Programmes found by Auto-search have a programme reminder automatically set.
    • Auto search can be turned on or off on the Config page.
    • Auto search can be executed on-demand from the Config page.
    • Auto search defaults to searching the first 2 days in your EPG. This is configurable on the Config page.

  • UncleJohnsBand: Search now has case sensitive option.

I didn't feel like starting a new thread on this... yet... because I'm not sure where the problem is. Is there any way to log what EWA is doing? I didn't see anything in the 'web' folder and the recording service doesn't log EWA activity with the logging level set to 'debug' in the GB-PVR config app.

I ask because twice in the past four days while using EWA remotely, it stops responding. The first time I was scheduling recordings and the second time happened when I clicked the 'steam now' button in the program description. Both times I closed all the IE windows and tried to access the site again, it's not there.

When I get home, the GB-PVR service is still running and previously scheduled recordings still seem to record. But I cannot restart the service (I get "Error 1053: service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" when trying to stop GB-PVR service).

It doesn't happen every time either because it worked fine yesterday.

I sopmetimes get that error and it seems to be connected to when my MVP is active.....I end up having to shut down the GBPVR Tray Icon....whait a minute or so and then do the restart.

EWA logs are written to a logs subfolder in the windomws MS.Net tree....you can view EWA logs by clicking on the statistics tab and then click on the log link....

Look in this path...and drill down to the folder with gbpvrpublic.dll in it...there should be a logs subfolder....the logs are in there....

Thanks UncleJohn. I don't see anything from the last two times. The logs seem to start after I restart the computer. I'll keep an eye on them if/when this happens again.

Unfortunately I don't have an MVP and I use Slimm's GB-PVR tray replacement so I can't narrow it down to one of those to be consistent with what you're experiencing.

Did you drill down through the directory tree I also supplied....the log rolls when the service restarts....but there should be 3 or 4 of the logs in the directory......accessing the log via the statistics tab only gets you to the most recent one....to see the older ones you need to go down the directory tree route.....let me know.

AAAAHHHHH OK. I wasn't looking at the entire log, just the beginning. duh, donno what I was thinking there. :o

I found both of the times it crashed.

When this one occurred, I opened the channel listing by clicking on the channel number in the TV Guide. I selected 'show results in table view.' I selected (checked) two programs to record and clicked Record button. I was selecting two programs but only one show in the log. The two I was attempting to record were "Fox 8 News at 5PM" and "Fox 8 News at 6PM."

The GB-PVR logs were still around from the 4/17. Although some are in 12, some in 24 hour format and that was confusing the h--- out of me. I narrowed it to this from GBPVRRecordingService.exe-2.log and there's nothing going on:
Quote:2007-04-17 09:00:14.734 VERBOSE [13] Hour is currently 9. Conversions will happen between 1:00 and 6:00
2007-04-17 09:31:14.734 VERBOSE [13] Hour is currently 9. Conversions will happen between 1:00 and 6:00
2007-04-17 10:02:14.734 VERBOSE [13] Hour is currently 10. Conversions will happen between 1:00 and 6:00

Hope it's somewhat clear. Thanks.

I am thinking this is the same issue as in these two threads.....it appears to be a .Net errror happening that is triggering a reload of GBPVR.....someone just posted that they did a repair install of .Net 2.0 and it seems to have correceted it.....I am a little skeptical....

I haven't been using EWA alot recently. I'll try using it more often to see if it crashes and I'll upgrade to build 60 tonight. I'll be posting further issues in the EWA thread. Thanks!
