I've noticed over the past few weeks that my computer time becomes a few minutes fast. I've now resorted to creating a Windows task that syncs the clocks every 6 hours. The only thing running on this PC is GB-PVR. Do you think it's the software, or a function of part of my computer going bad?

Could be your battery dying, although that usually gives you a slow clock.
You could try replacing the battery, but remember that you'll lose custom settings in the bios if you do.

GB-PVR doesnt ever set the time on you PC. Its checks what the current time is, but thats all.

It'll be your PC. Lots of PCs do this.

I use Rockettime. It's a freebie. I have it set to check my clock once a day, but you can easily configure to set it however often you wish up to once an hour.

It's amazing how many free time sync packages there are. I use About Time, yet another free one:

XP can be set to update the time also but I don't know how often it checks and corrects the time.

you shouldn't need to use any third party sync programs. you can configure XP to sync time as often as you wish
