Today I upgraded to the new version. In previous version, it didn't look good on the above skin, but worked. Now I only get "Error: Object reference not set..."

Any idea?
* Rogers Analog Cable [Canada]
* Hauppauge WintTV PVR USB2
* IBM Thinkpad T42 / 1GB Mem / Centrino 1.6Ghz / 60GB HD / ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 + VGA/DVI out

I updated the skins for the new version. I include the Blue and Community skin versions. Exactly what skin are you having a problem with?

Also, the logs/SearchWiz.log file contains information that may help me out. Could you copy out the construtor log output, it looks something like:

I don't believe I have skinned this plugin for the Widescreen version yet. ????

Yeah, but for some reason, it worked (wasn't looking nice, but worked) until few days ago, and yesterday (I believe the only thing I changed was upgrading the SearchWiz) it gives me this error. I will get the logs later.

To get this to work (not pretty, but it will work):

Copy skins from the community to the community-ws directory:

Common Dialogs/Recording Dialog skin.xml
SearchWiz/Filters Dialog skin.xml
SearchWiz/skin.xml

This should get the plugin working with the wide-screen version of the community skins.

Sorry for belaboring this if it's an obvious answer. But I'm having a very similar problem with SearchWiz in the Community-WS skin. Upon launching it from the menu I get "Error: There is an error in the application" and the following log entries. Help?

I need to update the Community-WS skin for the latest SearchWiz version. Let me do a quick upconvert using the 4:3 version.

Did Fatman_do's new version of the skins fix the problem you were experiencing?

I apologize if I'm not looking in the right spot but... I never heard if Fatman_do updated the Community-WS skin. I checked the wiki page to see if there's a new version and the last one listed there is from 3/15/07.

But as soon as I get it, I'll slip it on and see if it works. Till then, I'm still gettin' no love from the SearchWiz in C-WS.

Sorry I lost track of which thread I was in about this problem. I just added a post the the skin's thread.

I didn't do any heavy testing, just fired it up and made sure it didn't die on me. I just upconverted the 4:3 version JavaWiz provided of the regular Community skin.

BTW, love that utility JavaWiz. Makes my job easier.
