Here is a handy idea. If a recording fails (power outage, etc.) how about automatically searching the EPG for another occurrence and schedule that if there is no conflict. There could be a setting in Config to set 'Rescheduling' to 'none', 'manual' or 'automatic' on failed. The manual mode would be a button that one could click to make it find and schedule one so it was under the users control.

I like that idea, definately seconded!

The only problem is that the show might not be repeated within 2 weeks, it would be nice if it could remember for a set period (like 2 months). This would be handy for films that i want to see.

I wish that the movie industry had a single unique ID for movies (like an ISBN) so it would be easy to make a match. Absent that, I'd think if the software just looked at the same channel for the same title in the EPG, that would be worth while. Some of these channels run a movie 2-3 times in a weeks time.

(If we had ISBN like ID of movies, I'd be building a list of movies I wanted to see and then just let GBPVR auto record them as they 'hit'. It would be like fishing for entertainment... Wink.

FYI: I think CDKScheduler enables you to record shows based on string matches but I have never tried it out.
