I've read a bunch of different "instructions" on how to get HD Homerun to work with GB-PVR. But none of them seem to work. Has anyone succesfully gotten this to work? If so, can someone "Spell out" some step by step instructions. As if you were teaching it to a 6 yeasr old. (As you can tell, I'm about to throw my computer out the window).

Thanks.

The problem is, GB-PVR is saying Channel tuneing information not found. Now I've tried a few of these suggestions on some of these boards, but nothing seems to work.

I have set it up for both ATSC (over the air) and QAM (cable channels), and it works fine. But the ATSC channels are easier, since the QAM requires mapping into ATSC channel numbers. Which are you using?

I assume you have installed the latest HDHomeRun software, firmware, and VLC.

Next, have you set up the bda.ini file?

There is a utility for this also, though I have not tried it:

We can get into more advanced questions if that works for you.

I cant get step 11 to work for the bda.ini file

11. Once the EPG is updated click the "Map digital channels to EPG channels" button.

It scans but dosen;t find anything. I get this message

No Channels found. Check signal and configuration settings.

It only scans channels 1 to 68. Shouldn;t it go higher then that?

This is the standard OTA ATSC range. The HDHomeRun works by faking its QAM frequencies into that range using some remapping file. I'm cant remember the exact details though. Have you got this file?

Yes, I used the QAM remap utility that hakras posted. It is a lot easier than doing it yourself. But be sure to select the right tuner (0 or 1). I think in a future version they are going to scan both tuners, and combine it into a single result in some way.

I ran the utility. All the channels popped up. Where do I save the file to? Or where does ghe file save to?

What do I do after I run the utility.

What shouldI be useing as my EPG source in the GB-PVR Config?

EDIT####

Nevermind, I found the files. Now, where do I place them. I got a .csv file and a text file. Where should they go?
