Please post all questions about this plug-in here. Remember to include your the cinema number(s) source/country and any relevant logs.

As always suggestions and comments very welcome.

Changes from v4.0 include
* Added Switzerland (cineman.ch) source.
* Added USA and Canada (IMDB.com) source.
* Can now choose a preferred quality for the trailers.
* Made trailer directory configurable.
* Updated the USA (Fandango) and Netherlands sources due to website changes.

Please note that most problems with the plug-in are due to website changes and idiocentricies of the sources.

The best thing you can do is post your cinema IDs (and if you're in the US your zip code) and your log file (gbpvr/plugins/InternationalCinemaListingsPlugIn.exe.log).

Thanks

I had a system exception when downloading the trailer "for are we done yet". I looked in the logs for an error message but I didn't see one.

Otherwise everything worked ok. The IMDB site claims it is powered by zap2it so I would think it would get similar coverage to zap2it's site.

Oh right, that's good to know - IMDB is much easier to scrape Smile

using IMDB for the US, it seems the plugin is misbehaving, when I change theaters the films do not get cleared, but the films for the new theater get appended to the end of the list. also pressing enter does not pull up more info on a film.

also, no images, maybe it is because there are no images or descriptions on the IMDB page for each theater, but you have to click through the link to the movie to get them.

and a question related to skinning. is there a way to have the showtimes for the selected movie displayed somewhere other than the button, OR is there a way (that does not require serious effort) to make the selected button larger, but shift the other movies around so it spaces properly.

What kind of images are you expecting? Not since the days of UK only has this plug-in shown images.

The full show-times can be seen when you pull up info on a film, but this is not working for you - if you post your cinema IDs I can have a look. Does the plugins/internationalcin.../films.xml have any data in it?

I will look into the skin requests, the first one is more likely than the 2nd.

oh ok, wasnt sure.

that file only has info for one movie. "hurricane on the bayou"
my cinema IDs are 10716, 11202, 11651, 3570

after looking at the "showings.xml" file, it looks like the scraping of IMDB is the problem, maybe you are not emptying a list. the file shows the same problem with the listings that it has when I look in the plugin... which is good. means your frontend should be fine. just backend work to do Smile

I will have to take a look at your updated skin, and see if there is something I missed. I made the skin for sassari, so any skinning issues would be... my fault :p

Mr Penguin: I've setup the IMDB cinema IDs here and I cant duplicate the appended to the end of the list problem. Can you run a manual refresh and then try again and maybe post the logs and the xml files.

Had a quick look into the missing film info - its doing some funny stuff parser wise so will take another look later today (10.30am here at the mo)

Have just uploaded v4.2 to the wiki - should now find the full list of films from IMDB sources.
