EDIT: There is now a dedicated EWA forum over at http://forums.gbpvr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21

Enhanced Web Admin:
Download Location:
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...edWebAdmin

The Enhanced Web Admin was originally started by KingArgyle, to add a much needed Search feature to the Web Administration. Since the initial release, Normanr has taken over further enhancements. The enhanced web admin has been incorporated as a standard distribution with GBPVR, but the version that ships is a few releases behind. If you want to find the latest and greatest version, please follow the link above. All support questions and feature enhancements should be directed to this thread.

Very nice [Image: smile.gif] Can't wait for the other enhancements... GBPVR is getting close to Tivo with search options at this rate. I would really like to be able to make reoccuring searches, so I don't have to do it manually every so often.

Also, with your title/description check boxes... is it doing an AND if both are checked? I'm thinking an OR might be better... So if both are checked, it checks if the phrase is in the title OR in the desc.

Thanks again, good stuff

also... it would be nice to have matches on any combination of words in the search phrase, so if I search for "time travel", "time travel" will get caught, so will "travel through time"

Yeah, I noticed that if both check boxes are checked for Title/Desc it doesn't seem to return any results. I have the code setup for an OR check, but just need to verify why it doesn't return any results. I'll have it working in the next update.

I may write a small utilty that can run after an episode guide update that searches for new recordings and adds them to the scheduler. That'll be outside of the Web Admin however.

Update: I found the problem with having Title and Desc both checked not returning any results. Next version I put out will have this fixed.

Here is the updated gbWeb.dll that is needed for the Title or Description phrase search. By having both boxes checked, a search will return any episode that has the search phrase in either the Title or the Description.

Just put this dll in the web/bin directory, and you should be all set.

A better integrated version of the Enhanced Web Admin should be released before the end of the week. Thanks to Michael Dickson for providing the new skin for the new pages. No new functionality will be added for the next release, just cosmetic changes.

That'll be good. Thanks to you both. I was a little reluctant to include the last set of changes into the offical set, as they were a little 'plain' for my liking.

New release:

1. All pages integrated with the look and feel of the Web Admin. Thanks to Michael Dickson for taking the time to skin the changes.

2. Added Quality setting to the Manage recordings page. It now displays what Quality the recording is scheduled to record.

3. If both Title and Description are checked, then results are returned if the phrase is found in either area.

Follow the instructions for installing in the first message of this thread. This has been tested with version 0.23.8 and 0.23.11.

Does it have the ability to add reoccuring searches to that batch file yet? Thanks

Not yet. I'll put it on my to do list. Probably won't get to that until sometime after the first of the year, though. Won't be too difficult to do.
