In preparation for the new release, I've done some work to the Plugins and Utilities sections of the wiki...

In keeping with some ideas that Fatman_do and others started, please place a 'tag' on your wiki page (The main one, if you have several sub pages...)

There are lots of Plugins and Utilities, and I know that I don't know the status of every one. So even if you are not the original developer, maybe you could post a list of the plugins and utilities that you use, that you know work with the current version of GB-PVR...

I will be watching this thread, and I will try to help by updating the appropriate wiki pages.

And anyone else with wiki admin rights, of course, feel free to do some updating too.

There's a bit to do. And we will have to do it all again once 1.0 hits. But it will really help out new folks when they want to try out some new features...

Thanks
Frank Z

Only "edit rights" are needed, and if anyone don't have them yet - just PM me and I'll grant you those.

Keep it up!

just a question about the list (since ubustream has a dozen pages) can you make a sub-directory for a plugin, and the pages in that directory wont show up on the list?

plugins that are unknown
  • blinky
  • CallerId
  • CDPlayer
  • DboxRecorder
  • ExternalRecorder
  • Guide2j
  • Homeseer
  • LogZIP
  • MusicBox
  • MVPScreenPosition
  • MVPTrayIcon
  • PhotoCopy
  • Photos
  • ScreenSaver
  • SecurityCam
  • SleepTimer
  • Solitaire
  • Stocks
  • SuDoku
  • ThemesManager
  • Volume
  • XDvd
  • XFlip
  • XView

but there are probably a few in the 0.99.05 list that could be moved to the 0.99.12 list. I already did a few that I was sure about but when I realized the enormity of the task... I just decided to make a list

It is a big task. I will plug away.

Just for all , I'm placing the tag at the veru bottom of wiki pages. Some writers have placed it elsewhere in the page. I did not want to mess with too much and so there is redundancy redundancy. But that's OK, OK...

Edit: Ted, What do you mean by Unknown? Unsupported? No version specified?

It may just be a case of tracking down the writers. It would all for be the greater good of humanity of course... Smile

That's one of the reasons we have put the filtered lists at the top of the pages. You only need to tag the main page.

For my ZProcess page, I did something kinda sneaky and different. My troubleshooting section has answers to issues on HTML that I store as an attachment. Then when folks want to view the answers to the troubleshooting problems, they have to download the HTML, but it actually just loads as a page. PLUS I get a counter for how many hits for certain issues...

exactly:p. there is no tag on the page, and they dont appear in any of the top lists, so they are probably unsupported, but some may work, like blinky.

Guide2j is part of the Xrecord "suite" and is no longer a separate download. That much I know.

Yea, i kinda want to hand test them all but really don't want to break my media pc's that much Smile

Skin question, isn't Contour part of Community Skin now, could we remove it from having its own page?

Community Skin uses images from all skins (by permission). The obsolete skins should be marked as unsupported. I believe ContourHC is one of those, but I am not sure.

I usually gave a 6 month window of not seeing an update or support request answered before I tagged as Unsupported.
