A quick forum search revealed nothing on this Silverstone Case -

Has anyone got LCDSmartie 5.4 / GBPVR LCD Plugin to work with the GD-01 MXR?

I've tried imon.dll and imond.dll with various screen sizes. After pressing apply, some screen sizes are accepted (eg 1x20), whereas other screen settings come up with an error 'failed to open device: DLL initialise error: imon.dll Display not found'.

Interestingly, for a screen setting that is accepted, when LCD Smartie is shut down and restarted, the above error reappears.

When the error doesn't come up, the display remains blank. iMon works, so I know the display is fine.

What am I doing wrong? (Oh, and when trying to run LCDSmartie, I do not have iMon or iMedian running, so there is nothing else trying to talk to the display)

(BTW - I've also asked the LCDSmartie forum the same question with no response to date)

Sorry i stuffed that up and you read it before i could change it
i was playing with this just last week
i got it all going only to find out
the plugin doesnt work well with gbpvr and some plugin cant remember now tried so many different things to get it to work
You need the exact right plugins and my videos installed even though it wont run with gbpvr
then when you start it you have to remove it from the plugin directory then restart the recording service real pain in the ass
if you do a search under gbpvr smartie plugin you will find all this out

Lcd smartie must be in its own directory in Programfiles (thats the key to getting it to show radio info and the music tags when playing music)

No I can't - that's the fundamental issue at this stage. I'll need to find the posts you refer to later.

I'm sorry, but this suggestion is a little cryptic. Are you referring to iMon, LCDSmartie, or GBPVRLCD Plugin? Yes, iMon has a third party software setting, but this not relevant to my problem, since LCDSmartie does not require iMon to work (only the sg_vfd.dll component of iMon as far as I can tell), nor does it require GBPVR Plugin to work. LCDSmartie does have the ability to select different display driver plugins, presumably iMon.dll and iMond.dll are the relevant ones, but neither of these seem to work.

stustunz, are you using a GD01-MXR LCD or some other device, as I believe the problem could be specific to this OEM LCD. Mediaportal users are having problems with the GD01-MX too.

I un installed the imon and imeadian software
The dll you are talking about i placed in the lcd smartie folder
what actual diplay do you have ?
mine is only a 2 line one
