MovieLink or similar movie download plugin

On thing that I would really love to see, is some plug-in to connect to a video download services, like MovieLink, Unbox or other.

I'd be willing to put time into a project to develop this, but I'm not sure what API's are available for these services.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Flames? (Ok, no flames please.)

That's fine, I'm just trying to drum up some conversation. I think if we can get some people with time to work together, we'd all benefit.

I'm sure you can download from MovieLink and play through GBPVR somehow. You don't need their player to do that. But what I want to find out is if we can get their listing of available videos displayed through the screen, so you can order from your couch, begin the download, and then watch.

(For those of us who have the computer in another room, or on another floor and are a bit lazy.)

Heres one limiting factor for Movielink:

"Thanks for your interest in Movielink, the leading movie download service. Sorry, but Movielink is presently unavailable to users outside of the United States."

The content providers are in no hurry to mess around with their multi-tiered revenue cash cow for the sake of the global village.

As for unbox I havent tried it but seen quite a few negative reviews.

Im not sure the IPTV offerings are there right now, but it is getting better!

Signed up for, and downloaded a free movie from movielink. wm-drm
MS offers a digital rights management SDK I'm going to play with, to see how it works.

I'm hoping there can be a legal way to do this. I don't want no trouble from no-one.

Looking into the drm sdk, I see that the samples use activeX controls. I'm thinking of consuming the control's write/paint method, and passing it to GBPVR as a stream...

Maybe I should work through the Plug In sample first.
