i use the xmltv gui to get the epg's.

i can get filmfour , however, i cant get Filmfour +1 to show up in the TV guide.

I suppose this would happen to any channel that has a +1 schedule.

how do i get this to work?
Intel P4 2500 mhz, 1.25G Ram, XP Home SP2, Maxtor 30Gb and WD 200gb drives, PVR-500MCE, DM500s, dboxrecorder, GBPVR 1.2.9, 2 x wired MVP,

Yes I too was in that situation
The film4+1 from xmltv gui had no listings for this channel

I use xmltv gui to download my listing for me

for me i created a new +listing for film4+1 in xmltv gui
I went to
C:\Program Files\XMLTV GUI\scripts\uk_rt\ukrt_plus1_gen.lua

and editied to add my new channel , edited code section below

local availablechannels={
{name="More4+1",offset=1,id="1959"},
{name="FX+2",offset=2,id="1461"},
{name="Paramount Comedy+1",offset=1,id="1061"},
{name="Film4+1",offset=1,id="160"}
}

lien I added:
{name="Film4+1",offset=1,id="160"}

Now when you run xmltv gui go to settings -> Postprocessors
Enable UK_RT_Plus_One , then click settings and make sure your new channel now shows up , grab your listing , gb pvr import and your done

Odd, I'm getting Film4 + 1 from the grabber without needing tweaks - it's there on the channel list. ID 2021 as the dat file from the RT.

I used to get listings for Film4 +1 then they stopped suddenly. I can't help feeling the RT ID changed as some point. The ID I have is 584.

martin123 - which dat file are you talking about (full path/name)? I can only find lua files with ID information.

Cheers,
Brian

Hit the refresh channels button. as Clanky says, film4 + 1 is data channel 2021 at present.

Program Files\XMLTV GUI\settings\UK_RT\channels.lua
Quote:XGUI.AddChannel(Grabber,{
ID="2021",
Name={Value="Film4 +1",Lang="en"},
})

It may be possible that you have to remove and add back the channel from your download list - I don't know

OK, i refreshed the channels so that 2021 is now Film4 +1 (160 is Film4) but i still cant get Film4 +1 to show up in the guide even though the grabber gets the data.

I don't know anything about the postprocessing usage of the XMLTV GUI program that i use, it just has one selected. UK_RT_ALT_XMLTV

Below is a sample of the xml file for one particular film in both channels.

Film4

- <programme start="20070702150000 +0100" stop="20070702170500 +0100" channel="filmfour.channel4.com">

Film4 +1

- <programme start="20070702160000 +0100" stop="20070702180500 +0100" channel="2021.radiotimes.com">

any suggestions?

I assume you have film4+1 setup & the EPG is mapped in the config app?

It looks like the grab has worked ok then. Make sure you've done an EPG update for gbpvr!.
Then you'll have to go into gbpvr config to check the sources have film4 + 1 present. It differs between freeview and from Sky, freeview and you have to map channels, sky and you have to put in the channel number. Film4 and film4 +1 may not be next to each other in the guide unless you tweak the 'channels' tab of config - this seems to be where the order of channels is set.

Thanks for the confirmation - channels.lua was where I was looking amd ID was 584 so obviously it's changed since I originally downloaded channel info in XMLTV GUI.

I've manually edited it to 2021 so I'll see if it appears in tomorrows EPG update.

Cheers,
Brian
