It's coming... unfortunately, it requires MCE. (This will also work for the US and any other country for which MCE has guide data.)

Will MCE still require a TV Tuner to be present in the machine that it's running on? (I'm thinking vista premium in a virtual machine.) Btw, thanks for your hard work. Smile

Excellent news, eh. Do you know if this will support QAM since MCE doesn't?

I configured MCE previously with a tuner previously but I have not had it attached sisnce I started working on this program. I will wipe my config and run some extensive tests later.

I don't know what you mean by QAM support. All this app will do is download the guides and export the data to XMLTv format. If you have a QAM card that GB-PVR supports, then you will have QAM support.

I guess I mean digital channels that aren't accessible here because there is no CableCard support and since MCE doesn't support QAM devices I figured that this data might not be available. I can't get MCE to add anything but my analog channels.

I thank you in advance for helping us out. Man I was sweating it out wondering how I was going to keep GBPVR as my HTPC software.

Thanks Whurlston !!

Ah, in that case, you should be able to get your digital lineup. I may have a test for you to run in a 2-3 days just to make sure, if you don't mind.

Sure, glad to help out. I'm running MCE in Vista Home Premium if that makes a difference.

Beggars can't be choosers, but I would say that requiring MCE will be a major problem...

I'm aware of hacks, but I have never been interested in trying it nor having MCE around...

Sure hope there will be an alternative to requiring MCE
