Using the 1.08 gbpvr.exe I can load the MVP application, but then on the MVP reboot I get a a "failed to find the GUI server" The MVP just keeps searching.. ... ... ... ....

I get this with both the new dongle.bin and the one from 99.12. I have confirmed the firewall is off (but I guess that is obvious if the app loads)

My MVP works using the PVRX2.exe but I want to retain the old interface for the moment because I rely heavily on some of the features such as setting-update EPG and settings-drive space.

I have searched, but the first few days after a release is so crazy I may have missed if this has already been raised.

Was thise done by setting <MVPServer>GBPVR.exe</MVPServer> in config.xml, or running a server manually?

by just running the different executables.

I didn't expect that the executables would look to the config.xml to see which executable they were? Or can you somehow mix and match??

You left a trick to see if we were paying attention. Wink

A server is only good for one run, and then needs to be restarted. This has been the case with every previous release too. This is all done automatically when you set the 'number of servers auto start' setting in the config app. The setting I mentioned above is to tell the recording service which process to use as the MVP server.

If you're running the mvp server manually, which I dont recommend, then you should kill the process and restart it each time the MVP reboots, or the standby button is pressed.
