\skin2\blue\Menu\skin.xml I find <Placement name="MenuButtonOrigin" loc="55,25" offset="9" rightShift="true" alpha="200" /> What is alpha="200" for? Thank you Graham

255 is full opaque. 0 is fully transparent. Values in between are somewhere in between. (that said, I'm not 100% sure this particular alpha value is used).

By the way, I've just tried it and it is used. I guess this new interface is even better than you thought.

I couldnt remember or not. It was the first thing I worked on when I started the new user interface.

Commenting on the same examle line, I think the offset value doesn't work (or at least as I understand what it would do).
