Signed up for schedules direct account. Configured EPG correctly with email address and password. Emptied guide. When I select update EPG it displays the message "Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly, please check the EPG source settings and try again". 'System.net.web exception:the remote name could not be resolved: webservices.prod.schedulesdirect.tmsdatadirect.com'

It also insists on bringing up the Zap2it download box even though the program is configured to use schedules direct. I am running the latest version of GB-PVR. HELP PLEASE.

You need to do an update with the SD patch from the survival guide.

Planner, I did it last night, and if memory serves, it's just an update of an already existing dll in the GBPVR folder - just overwrite the old one.
GBPVR 1.4.7; VMR Full Screen Exclusive; Cyberlink Video SP Decoder; XP Home; DirectX 9c; Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150; Asus P5B-E motherboard with on-board sound; NVidia GeForce 7600GS/256MB; Intel Core2Duo E6400 2.13GHz; 4 GB RAM; This PC is dedicated to GBPVR & connected to an old standard def TV via S-Video cable.

This is correct. Make sure you close all gbpvr stuff before you try and do it. The recordings manager included.

I think it worked, although it still reads "requesting listings from Zap2it", is this normal?

Yep, this is normal. It still retrieves the listings from the same servers as the old zap2it listings, but this time you're paying for the pleasure. The next release will have a different message to minimise any confusion this might cause.

I had this problem initially, but replacing the DLL, making sure all was configured well and then REBOOTING "fixed" it...except that now I get a grand total of ONE HOUR of program guide when I download! (In my initial try, I got three hours. ONCE I got twelve hours. Latest try I got ONE hour.)

How the frick am I supposed to program anything when I can't get channels more than one hour into the future?

I've already posted this problem and log files, but no replies at all....

After I had closed all GB pvr related activities I tried to download the patch but could not overwrite the original file as it was "in use". I tried restarting the computer with no gbpvr related files open and still no luck. I then moved the file in question to a different directory and then copied the new file into the directory. As far as I can tell, I have the correct patch in the pvr directory. However, I still get error 401 when I try to download the schedules direct data. I tried to provide a picture but it just wouldn't work. I still have the regular zap2it listings until Sept 14th so I am not in a rush.

one last thought - could it be that I can't use both the schedules direct data and the zap2it data at the same time?

btw, I had no problem installing the new version 1.016 and both the old and the new versions work on my TV on the second monitor just as I want it. The picture is also a lot crisper so I am really please and want to thank sub for his hard work. It must be frustrating when those of us with less computer experience are reluctant to try the new program.

It is likely posted elsewhere but Schedules direct is taking all applications now but you can wait if you are uncomforable with the terms of use and licensing agreement and want to wait for an improved version,
