ShowSearch not working with 1.0.16

The ShowSearch plugin seems to open just fine (on pc and mvp) but when I type a letter on keyboard or on remote (for mvp) nothing happens.

Is anybody else having this issue?

Yes. It is broken but I can't understand why. It has to do with a custom search function I have registered to use with the database to do regular expression searches. For some reason it is no longer working. I have not had the time to try to figure out exactly why. If someone knows a way to do regular expressions in SQL select statements that would be helpful.
