Last week we scheduled a number of recordings, some of which were overlapping. Notably, we had two recordings on the same channel, directly after each other and another on another channel which overlapped with both. With my crude ascii art skills, it would look something like:
channel 1:......,.............|==hellow-world-show======|..........................
channel 2:......|==foo-series======||==bar-show================|....
We used the default prerecording of 1 minute and postrecording of 5 minutes. When I scheduled the recording I wondered whether GBPVR would signal a conflict on this (because of the pre- and post-recording) and checked, but it though everything was ok.
Now the following happened: the foo-series ran a few minutes late (as usual) and when playing the recording, my wife (it's her series ) went ballistic when the end was missing. Luckily, I remembered the almost-conflict and started the bar-show, so she could see the end and be happy... Try that for a happy end!
Now I was wondering, what would have happened when bar-show would have been on channel 3 (would my WAF have dropped?). I haven't tried though, but it was interesting enough for a discussion anyway (I may still try it).
Shouldn't GBPVR raise a conflict-warning on this, stating that the postrecording cannot be executed?
