I am running GBPVR 1.0.16. Is this version supported? Since that wasn't working I set UseGBPVR_XML to false and tried to run this utility but it just crashed. Any help would be appreciated.
Ok...sounds like you may have missed a step or so in the instrucutions on the wiki:
Minimal command line instructions and adding to PostUpdateEPG processing…..
1. Unzip to your gbpvr install directory directory.
2. Update or create a PostUpdateEPG.bat file with a command line of: schedulesdirectimport schedulesdirect_email_address password >schedulesdirectimport.log
Where schedulesdirect_email_address and password are your credentials for SchedulesDirect.
The >schedulesdirect.log part of the command line will cause the output messages from the schedulesdirectimport process to be written to that log file…..if you don’t want a log file just do not have anything after the password in the command line.
Note: You can also set your schedulesdirect_email_address and password in the config file rather than using a command line. Just read the instructions in the config file.
To save download time and SchedulesDirect Bandwidth (this is recommended): Set the UseGBPVR_XML tag in the schedulesdirectimport.exec.config file to true. You must also set the <SaveZap2itXML> tag in GBPVR’s config.xml file of to true.
Also.....when you force an EPG Update I am not sure if the postupdateepg.bat file is executed by GBPVR.........
When you ran it from just a command line so long as you had the settings in the config file set with your account information and not to use the gbpvr download it should work.......

I am sure it would work.....if you download the compiled app then you don't need to build anything.
Let me know how you make out.....
