I could use a little bit of help here with 1.0.16. I am having an issue with my two ATI 550's and not getting any picture on the second tuner.

Here is my setup:

Asus M2NPV-VM
(3) 1 GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2
(2) ATI 550 TV Wonder (PCI)

I am using onboard video and audio right now. When I record one show and go to watch live tv, I do not get a picture from the second tuner. I have removed each tuner and get both audio and video when they only one is installed. When both are installed I only get output from the first one. I just installed the latest ATI driver 6.14.10.256 dated 8/21/07. Hopefully I provided enough information to get some help.

Thanks. Smile

That is good to know. I have been considering getting a second one for my HTPC. So, does the 550 have problems with other tuners like this, or just with a second 550?

Cool! That is what I will look for when I am looking to get a new one. Is the picture quality pretty good on that one?

I will try that config change. If not, I will be looking for a Hauppauge PVR-150.

Thanks.

I just made the change to config.xml and it worked! It was originally set to 2 and I changed it to 1 as below:
<AutoDetectEncoderMethod>1</AutoDetectEncoderMethod>

Metal, thanks for the suggestion.

Do you have a remote wonder plus working with 1.0.16?

I haven't yet, but in the Community Announcement section, Mongoose annouced awhile ago that he is working on a new plugin to get it to work with PVRX2. I haven't seen anything else about it though. Until then, I am using the old GBPVR.exe, as my remote plugin still works there.
