I'd also be interested to know if any DVB cards work, in particular the Nebula DigiTV.

Thanks,

Steve

I've started to look at sourcing a DVB-S card. Be aware though, DVB support is not on the top of the priority list so support wont appear instantly.

Don't know if this will help with DVB development but here are a couple of links:

1. DVBcore - "is a DVB library for developers and enthusiasts who want write own application..."

http://www.dvbcore.com/DVBCore.html

2. SDVBrecorder - a DVB server, using dvbcore.dll, written to be used with SageTV.

Hope this helps with DVB development! Keep up the good work!

Why you dissapointed? For lack of 3rd party support, dodgy bundled software, or something else?

I have a Hauppauge Nova-T. The Hauppauge software sucks, and unfortunately there is limited support for it in other 3rd Party apps (Showshifter supports it, but is deficient in other areas, Sage TV has a plugin that kinda works (what I'm currently using), and MyTheatre supports it.)

However, when I have got it up and running - picture quality is unequalled, as you are getting the raw mpeg2 stream straight onto your hard drive.. GB-PVR support will rock... [Image: smile.gif]

I also have a Nexus-S and put it on my GB-PVR WISHLIST.
Joveplayer have also DVB support now but the frontend of GB-PVR is more my favorite now. I hope that Sub will give it more priority...

Take a look at DVBCore Sub, What I have read, this is the best way to do. DVB cards are booming now especially with the Mpeg hardware decoders like Technotrend and SkyStar1 cards. (Hauppauge Nexus-S is a Technotrend card) Also very imported is support of CI/CAM interface with the card for recieving paychannels like Canal+ etc.

My compliments for your nice looking and working software, I've worked with Myhtpc, Showshifter and recently Joveplayer because I ordered a Xcard for better DVD quality. In my search for Xcard previews I found your GB-PVR and this will become my first choice.
