Quick search didn't pop up anything obvious matching my problem, so I'm hoping that I just didn't overlook it.

I'm using Zap2XML, so the problem may be there but then it may not.

Some of the listings that are supposed to be 30 minutes long are shown as being 3hours 35mins long. Not only that, but other shows scheduled for that same time period are showing up correctly, but there is a weird overlapping effect (visually) with the titles.

To somewhat illustrate it, in my area on NBC at 19:00 (7PM) is Entertainment Tonight, for 30 minutes. If I select it, it shows the time is 7:00PM to 11:35PM (this varies depending on when The Tonight Show is going to start). Other shows at 7:30, 8:00, 9:00, etc list fine but when I select that one show, I get a green bar for the entire 3:35hrs.

Here is an example of the XML from the Zap2XML output:
Code:
    <programme start="20071003190000 -0400" stop="20071003193000 -0400" channel="I12.labs.zap2it.com">
        <title lang="en">Entertainment Tonight *</title>
        <category lang="en">Talk</category>
        <episode-num system="dd_progid">EP00001457.4917</episode-num>
        <new />
    </programme>

To me it appears to be correct (at least the start and end times), so I'm at a loss.

Edit:
Further information, for Oct 1st, both GBPVR and PXR2 have the correct show information. For Oct 2nd and Oct 3rd, they both show 7:00 to 11:35PM.

Code:
    <programme start="20071001190000 -0400" stop="20071001193000 -0400" channel="I12.labs.zap2it.com">
        <title lang="en">Entertainment Tonight *</title>
        <category lang="en">Talk</category>
        <episode-num system="dd_progid">EP00001457.4915</episode-num>
        <new />
    </programme>

    <programme start="20071002190000 -0400" stop="20071002193000 -0400" channel="I12.labs.zap2it.com">
        <title lang="en">Entertainment Tonight *</title>
        <category lang="en">Talk</category>
        <episode-num system="dd_progid">EP00001457.4916</episode-num>
        <new />
    </programme>

zip and attach the complete xmltv file, and I'll try importing it here to have a look. Also note some of the show names, times, channel number so I can take a closer look.

I suspect it was a previous xmltv file that had this problem, not the file that you attached. The attached file has the correct listing times, and shows the correct duration in my tv guide in PVRX2.

If you want, you can zip and attach your gbpvr.db3 and I can check. I suspect I'll find you have some listings additional listings from an earlier EPG xmltv file, with the three hour duration you listed.

I'm guessing if you click the 'empty epg' button followed by the 'update epg' button that these bogus listings will be removed from the database (unless you happened to have scheduled recordings against them).

I do have schedules, but they are weekly/repeating items. I emptied and then updated the EPG.

I'm not sure if this would be a problem with Zap2XML or with gbpvr or a mix of the 2, but I think the problem happens when I hit it at 14 days (I dropped it to 12). Even though it shows up when browsing directly, it I was noticing some things not showing up. When I know more on specifics, I'll bump this up for ya.

I'm sure it'll be a zap2xml problem. We've had thousands of people using GB-PVR's xmltv support, and it hasnt had to be updated for at least a couple years now, and I'm not aware of a single situation where GB-PVR has ended up incorrect start/end times that hasnt been found to be a problem in whatever xmltv file the user supplied.

Ok this attachment is what I'm importing right now and for some reason, and I'm pretty sure it's operator error somehow, I can't see any of the listings for Oct 15th, even though there are entries in the XML file for the 15th.

This from the Zap2It website:

We are experiencing intermittent problems displaying TV listings
and are working to resolve the problem. Thanks for your patience.

(I am seeing these types of issues too.)

I'm having the same problem with zap2xml. Purging the EPG and re-running didn't help

Yeah, same here. Only seems to affect prime-time, and it started last week. I deleted any cached files and the existing guide data, did a reload, and same thing. zap2xml seemed to be working so well, too.
