I've installed a fresh 6.5. The following I can do over and over and it allways the same.

Start Music Library 2
Select Playlist - reset MVP

Start Music Library 2 second time after the MVP works again
Select Playlist - No problem
Select the playlist you want

If you select Random directly after selecting the playlist the MVP will crash. If you wait (let's say 3 minutes with a playlist of 1000 tracks and THEN select Random. No problem it will play just fine.

Looks like a library read problem.

I had something similar with an earlier version. My problem there was that in the configuration the sqllite database could not be permanently checked. in the newer version it is set by default, but it might not harm to have a look there.

If you mean the option under the General Tab - Allways query. That one is now checked (on). Should that one be unchecked (off) or checked (on)?

Btw the new version 6.6 Beta crashes in the config program. If I select Library update it makes GBPVR configuration program crash. So no go yet there.

besides that I was a bit confused what to install extra (or not) on the database site if you want the album art from the MP3's. Not clear enough to go there yet....

I meant under the General Tab in -Data Base Settings- you can either select 'SQL Lite' or 'Acces'. My crashes were caused because neither of the two were checked.
I suggest you post your ML2 logs here, so Psycik or someone more technical can have a look.

And yes it might be a library read problem....Starting in v6.x I pushed the m3u playlist reading to a background thread - and what you're probably seeing is the playlist still loading.

I can probably add a bit more checking around is it loaded, or still loading so you can't do anything on it... it was my first attempt at multi threading so it was quite different from other stuff i had done before, and I'm guessing the mvp doesn't like it....

Hi. I just had a quick play on the MVP with the 6.7 beta version I've just released.

Was able to load the playlist screen first time, play a playlist, stop it (was slow to stop though). Also was able to randomise the playlist - while stopped and while playing.

See how you go with that one...
