Can anyone give me a clue as to why I don't get BBC3 found in the scan but all the other channels on that MUX are!.

I'm using a Nova T500 DVB card and on the scan it reports signal strength 68 and quality 100

I am receiving from the Sutton Coldfield transmitter.

It's been ages since I performed one, but does BBC3 have to be transmitting in order for the scan to see it? BBC3 is only on in the evenings.

I was just looking at http://www.ukfree.tv and it has CBBC and BBC3 using the same bandwidth area. How do I get the scan to have both CBBC and BBC3?.

Looks like I might have a similar problem with Uk History and Virgin 1, CBeebies and BBC4.

I think all you need to do is scan during the day, and then do a re-scan during the evening.

I can confirm this is how it works. GB-PVR won't find any channel which isn't currently broadcasting a video PID but once it has found it, it doesn't remove it again if it isn't there next time you do a scan.

A scan anytime during the day and another after 7pm should give a full list.

Cheers,
Brian
