I loaded the config file for the MCEremote from the wiki for my remote that came with avermedia m780 capture card. It works well, except that in guide and tv watching the up and down and ok buttons click twice everytime I push them down. The remote looks almost identical to the MCE 2005v2a remote, except for one button in the picture. Any idea how I can get hte up/down to only click once?

I dont use HIP, so not that familiar with it, but you could try setting the remote type to Hauppauge instead of MCE in the config app.

if using hip and mce remote
dont have any controls like ff rw etc loaded in the hip settings as gbpvr does this already for you
you only need to add the extra buttons like start (as gbpvr doesnt have this)
i also have the * key mapped to aspect ratio
teletext brings up task manager so that i can kill gbpvr if it stops responding(not used very often)

The double clicking issue is gone now, but I can no longer use the windows button to launch the program. What did you guys do for that?

I dont have use the Windows button to start GB-PVR. I run it on a dedicated machine, so I just have Windows auto start the application at start up. I also dont run it on MCE.

the only problem is it seems with pvrx2 if you use this method of opening it it may cause multiple instances of the program running
someone else made a start up batch instead of using pvrx2.exe which stopped this happening i havent got around to using it yet as once its running i have no real need to hit the start key again
