I have some challenges in archivings.

1- What is the best way to archive a recorded show?
2- It seems my broadcasters do not register episodes with Schedules Direct. How can I modify episode title?
3- Is there a way to set some parental control on archived shows?

other than that its a great plugin

I am a bit confused on which version I should take. Should I just take the first one in the plugin page? I am running 1.1.5 with 2 MVPs.

For the rename portion, any idea? The problem is that the zap2it/SchedulesDirect database not containing the episode name does not work very well with my 3 year old son. For examplem I have about 20 Backyardigans recordings and he wants to see the one with the bikers and the mailman. Which one of the 20 is it? If I could rename them manually, before or after archiving, that would be great!

I use Xrecord. It has less functionality than VideoArchive, but I like it that way. It's nice and simple.

Others are VideoArchive as stu mentioned and pBS? SuperSimpleArchiver

With Video Archive or XRecord, can I manually select which show I want to archive? I installed Video Archive and it seems that the only option I have is to automatically archive after x days.

The reason I am asking is that I would like to verify comskip index and clean before archiving.

yeah if you open video from the menu once gbpvr is running you have like new video library
from there when you open a file it gives you an option to play/archive/delete/close it
you can set the auto archive to zero days to disable auto archive
warning can be slow to open but it will get there (jeff is still working on a fix i think)

also make sure you select display "whats new"
under the display tab in va config panel
otherwise it may not scan properly for some reason

I use Xrecord and yes, you certainly can select which show you want to archive. It doesn't have Autoarchive.

To update episode description, try the attached tool. It will list all the entries in your Recording table and allow you to modify the episode (or sub_title) field.

You will need to place:
EpisodeTweaker.exe - Gbpvr directory
WizUiHelper - gbpvr/plugins/common directory
