I am having issues with screen size.

On the host pc this is fine as it runs a 'huge' res.

however remotely on my laptop i only get 1024x768
I have found problems with the main screen, but primarily the program detail popup windows. is there any way a skin can be created for smaller players.

thanks

Anything is possible... Wink

I did check the pop-ups fit with a 1024x768 resolution.....the top and bottom of the window should be even with the top and bottom of the screen.

Are the pop-ups not fitting on your screen?

i have checked again today

2 things i notice with the program info popup windows.

on the host system they appear so far down the screen the bottom is hidden below the taskbar. the actual height of the window is far just the possition is wrong.

on another system the tabbed browser adds more stuff at the top of the window so it pushes the bottom bit down. in this case the window is in the correct possition.

hope this helps to diagnose

On my 1024x768 pop-up starts about half the depth of the title bar down from the top of the desktop and extends below the bottom - I can't drag it up enough to see the bottom - but there is nothing in the bottom bit anyway...

On my 1440x900 it starts about one and a half TitleBarDepths from the top and extends below the bottom - I can drag it up enough to see it - and there is still nothing there...Smile

Is this in the CSS based screens or the standard table based screens. CSS based would be if you were using Guide2.aspx.

What browser are you using?

Screen shots would be nice.

I am using the latest version of Guide2 on XP Pro Sp2 with IE7 and all the service applied...
first screenshot is 1024x768 (here it's in a VNC window, but behaves the
same way on real monitor), second is 1440x900. You can also see the way
the status legend (bottom left) behaves on narrower windows. However I
wouldn't consider any of this to be 'bugs', even though it may be appearing
differently from what you expect.

Ok...try the attached beta. This includes an update to the pop-up script that should allow it to fit within a 1024x768 display.

In the beta is also an update to the CSS guide, manage and search results pages to allow the retention of scroll position following an action such as record or delete.

Follow standard instructions for upgrading. I did have to do a refresh on each of the 3 pages for the scrolling update to work.

Let me know how you guys make out.

See below how the pop-up displays now at 1024x768 - It looks the same on 1440x900. I think it's better simply because, when you can see the whole of the border on a pop-up, you know that you are not missing anything. I've not looked at scroll position retention yet...

Scroll position retention works fine in Guide2 - vertical position maintained after left/right page scrolling and after changing date/time and clicking Go.
Also in Search Results - position maintained after selecting a program and clicking Record Selected.
However, in Manage Recordings, if I Cancel a pending recording, vertical position returns to top rather than moving to the next entry in the table.
