Remote Wonder Plus help

I bought the Remote Wonder Plus recently to control my media pc that is in another room on my television.

It says the range should be 60ft with RF. However, I cant get more than 10 feet away even with a direct line of site.

Im guessing I must be doing something wrong or there is some stupid config problem that I am overlooking.

Any ideas?

Did you try new batteries?

The batteries that came with mine were OLD & it's range was about 5 ft.
