Hello!

I just bought my new card which is an Hauppauge hvr-1100. It's a really confusing world this TV tuner buisness, but aside from alot of channels simply being a black screen with no sound in WinTV (I'm not gonna use that anyway) I had hit a hard wall trying to get gbpvr going.. Anyway, this is my problem for you;

When I hit "Update EPG"
(I'm fairly sure my settings are as they should)
ArchiverUtility crashes- giving me an system.io.directorynotfound exception.

I am using windows XP64

Thanks beforehand! And if anyone can figure out why no channels except some are working I would of course appreciate that too Tongue Not even composite is working Sad

You you look in the Jeff sub directory and post and log files that you find there that are from around the same time as the crash?

this is the archiving tool from the video archive suite. I guess you have this installed?

Have you configured the archive folders in config.exe for VA (called videos in plugin list).

if you are not using archiving yet, simply remove/comment out the reference to this command in the postepgupdate.bat file in the gbpvr folder.

Oh, thank you for your help so far!

But this is wierd. I set the directories, but it still generates the same error. I checked the logs, and it was the same as before, so I swapped it out and it turns out it just stopped generating a log file?

I will try to edit the bat file now.

All right - after commenting out that line, it stopped producing errors obviously but alas, when I try watching TV, it gives me "no channels have been set up".

I still haven't even gotten composite to work in the stock program, which sucks Big Grin I have also read that some people can't get any signal with this card and gbpvr, but i've also read that it works for one guy. Oh well, maybe it's just not my day? Big Grin

Hooray, composite is now working!

I'll just use WinTV then, even if it looks and acts as if it was still 1992.

I think the DVB tuner will work
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...e+hvr-1100

but to progress that problem you should really post a new (non-archieverutility.exe) thread

Yeah, thank you. I already got the DVB tuner set tough, I'll start a new thread.

If anyone gets news of why the archiver stopped logging or won't change directories it'd be appreciated tough since i'd wanna use it.

Thanks again everyone!

Can you post your config.xml file too?
