I know that some parts of the world are on different days of the week vs. the average joe here in the United States. I think it is like Jan 3rd. now or something like that in New Zealand Rolleyes.

Many different cultures have there own traditions and celebrations this time of year.

That being the case, happy holidays and best wishes from my family to yours.

We hope that all have a safe, healthy, and prosperous 2008.

Merry Christmas from me, too. In Sweden, we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve rather than Christmas day. I don't know why, it seems weird to me, but it gives us an extra day off, so I don't complain Wink

Your picture reminds me of something funny that you guys in northern hemisphere might not have realised about christmas in the south... its summer here, so it gets dark very late in the day. Our two kids (both under 5 years) havnt seen our christmas tree lights going in the dark. We'd love to take them to see some of the local houses that are covered in lights and waving santas, but its not dark until about 2 hours after their bed time. I wouldnt mind keeping them up, but for little ones its nearly impossible.

Merry christmas all.

My best wishes and sincere thanks to all of you. I hope you all have a great Christmas or whatever you celebrate and a very prosperous and joyful new year.

(and I also wish for a quick eclipse (or at least a really big dark cloud) over sub's house so his kids can see the lights)Wink

Around here there is a housing development that goes all out, they have signs to direct traffic and pass out candy and accept donations for local food bank. It always looks better when we have snow, but not always the case. We went from about 5in (12.7cm) of snow to none in a week.

The latest rage is the "Wizards of Winter" light displays.
