how to change the background?

I have the latest skin plugin and community skin 3 installed and when I enter the skin menu and change the background to another one that is nclided in the community skins nothing happens after retsrt of gbpvr and i'm stuck with the basic blue background or mce or ....

is this a known bug or em I the only one?

I have delated all contents in my skins skin2 and plugin skintool diectory and re-insalled community 3 and skintool and same problem.

menu effects etc appear to change fine.

Let me double check it here. There should also be a log file in "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Plugins\SkinPlugin" called "SkinPluginHelper.exe.log"

Would you zip and attach that as well.

Ok, here I can get a change but I need to fix some things for the older legacy plugins. That image doesn't change.

Could you browse to "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\skin2\Community3\Menu" and right click on background.jpg, select "Properties". From there, make sure "Read Only" is not checked. (It shouldn't be).

read only is not checked and i have gone to the skins2 and plugin folder and made sure all files are not read only and still no luck

I would like to point out that in the skins menu when I select the background it has the new selected one.

just does not change the background for the program

I am stumped really.
McBainUK, the plugin author may have some advice.

I think it may be a "timing" issue in that GBPVR is active on your PC when it tries to copy the file, and since it is in use it is denied. There have been similar problems in the past with really fast computers restarting GBPVR before images were overwritten. That is the only thing else I can think of.

This is a Dell Dimension 5100
i am going to test your theory by installing skin plugin n my core 2 duo and see what happens...

same problem on my Core 2 Duo rig

can someone with a high end rig see if they can confirm the speed difficulty with changing skins?

I am missing out on some great visuals here Sad

do you know if the program leaves a batch file somewhere that I can click to make the changes when GBPVR is offline?

hmm did I see a delay start in config somewhere? or was that mediaportal

working right now on the job so pressed for time lol
