Hi here's my wishlist/plugin request

As the Net Radio doesnt seem to be working in the way i would want it to, and basicly i prefer a map-orriented library structure i dont use medialibrary2 and prefer the original music library as its just plain and simple.

Now here's my problem, i listen radio over the internet ALOT and for example the dutch radio station Veronica. I got to the point where i downloaded winamp to create a m3u playlist containing only the asx or asf link. But when i tried to play the playlist in music library it didnt play.

Even more ideal wud be a radioplugin where u simply add some url's and give em names and thats it!

Simplicity FTW!

If you save you .asx file in "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Net Radio" they'll show up as a favourity in the net radio screen, and it can usually play them.

(this doesnt apply to MediaMVP users)

Okay, made myself a quick html file with links so i can right-click save_as... Even took the liberty of getting myself 5 different asx files from different stations coz i was thinking, maybe some wicked server thingy blocked em.

Placed the asx files in net radio folder, they pop up in my favourites in gb-pvr. Nothing seems to be happening when i try to play them in net radio. The files themselves work under both wmp and winamp.

So i figured i'd actually dubbel click the txt file in the net radio folder. It says i should place shoutcast files in it. Could this be the reason it dont play asx? Wink

Hope so, coz it would atleast give me hope for a solution.

Even though it says that, it will play windows media ASX stations if you're listing on the PC (not an MVP).

It can be picky about the case of the tags used in the asx files, which is the most likely reason it didnt play it.

Zip and attach the asx files and I'll take a look.

Here is an example format that will work:

Code:
<asx Version="3.0">
    <entry>
        <Ref href="http://217.196.35.30/preroll/radioveronica.mp3"/>
    </entry>
</asx>

I've tried it with radioveronica and it worked fine. I didnt try the others, but I'm assuming you'd be able to get them working as well. Use this xml as a template and replace the URL.

sidenote: move to support? Tongue

anyways, as you said in the other topic "net radio nogo" i cant find the request myself, but i am pretty certain i pressed ENTER several times (at some point like 200 times, got a little bit carried away) maybe im supposed to edit keyboard thingy files or something? ctrl-p or ctrl-q didnt work either.

ps: took a quick look at keyboard reference. No enter defined in musiclibrary and net radio not even in it Tongue

update:

rite, took the liberty of diving into keymapping folder. netradio has the line: <command name="NETRADIO_ENTER" key="enter"/>

used the proggy keyshow, pressed enter and it resulted return.

i can asume return equals enter in this case?
