Bong!

OK, so this is new (to me at least).

Suddenly my main system is now doing a rather loud BONG every time SWMBO presses the OK button on the Hauppauge remote. This system sound is WAY LOUD. Louder that the show she's watching.

Any ideas as to how to turn it off?

The bong is a sound file you activated by tweaking your config.xml.

I seem to remember that GB-PVR can control sound volume AND the system volume can be adjusted.

If the System Volume is way up, but GB-PVR has the volume down, your videos will play back a lot quieter than system sounds.

Maybe look in the config program for Volume on the Playback tab. Maybe None, Local or Master was tampered with...
